JHS Pedals COYOTE Octave Fuzz

COYOTE does not belong to the existing clone lineage; it is a next-generation fuzz pedal based on lost circuitry.

Unlike typical octave fuzz pedals (OCTAVIA, SUPER FUZZ, TONE MACHINE), this pedal is a completely analog design that recreates a rare circuit.
Despite its simple two-knob design, it packs in an astonishingly wide range of expressive capabilities.

It was designed as an homage to the legendary "Moonrock Fuzz" by North Carolina's legendary pedal builder, GS Wyllie.
Until now, no clone models existed, and the octave fuzz circuit, which had never been reproduced in mass production, has finally been revived.

A single knob seamlessly switches between three modes: SWELL, FUZZ, and OCTAVE, each producing a distinct sound character.
Furthermore, the guitar's response to volume adjustments is extremely sensitive, allowing for expressive playing based on touch.

A light strum produces a warm, controlled fuzz, while a stronger strum creates a dynamic sound with a swell.
Furthermore, it's characterized by producing a cleaner tone compared to conventional octave fuzz pedals.

SWELL's attack rises slowly, like a breath of life.
The gradual activation of the final stage of the circuit ensures a smooth signal flow, creating a natural expansion that responds to the dynamics of your picking.

FUZZ offers a more psychedelic and distinctive distortion, different from both BIG MUFF and FUZZ FACE.
OCTAVE features an octave sound reminiscent of the iconic Jimi Hendrix.

[How to get the classic octave fuzz sound]

Place COYOTE at the beginning of your effects chain.

Furthermore, by combining it with other overdrives or a distorted amplifier, you can recreate classic octave fuzz sounds.
Using the front pickup and playing above the 12th fret will produce a more pronounced octave effect.

Additionally, humbuckers more powerfully emphasize swell and octave effects, while single-coil pickups deliver a clearer tone.

【CONTROLS】

- VOLUME: Controls the overall volume of the COYOTE.

- SWEL: Creates a swell effect with a reverse-like attack, resulting in a smooth, expanding sound. It responds to the strength of your picking, creating a natural dynamic rise.

- FUZZ: A character distinct from the BIG MUFF and FUZZ FACE. It boasts rich lows and powerful mids, delivering a powerful fuzz sound suitable for chord playing.
It's reminiscent of shoegaze and psychedelic rock.

- OCTAVE: Turning it clockwise intentionally makes the clipping uneven, changing the harmonic balance. Even-order harmonics (second-order harmonics) are particularly emphasized, adding a strong octave-up effect to single notes.
