Description

This analog preamp pedal from DryBell, a Croatian effects brand that releases high-quality pedals, pays homage to the British sound!

The Engine's unique synergy, combining dynamic overdrive foundation tone with a sparkling range boost, will open up a vast sonic world for you. It consists of two fully analog sections. Side A has been meticulously tuned to recreate the sound, feel, and dynamic response of a 1960s British non-master volume amp. Easily achieve tube-like distortion without the need to play at ear-splitting levels. Side B's most powerful feature, Range, is our take on a 1960s treble booster. Plus, a high-headroom, distortion-free Clean Boost and versatile Low & High EQs help you further customize your tone.

● Drive control (side A)

・Level (A)

For optimal tone and response, match the volume of the (A) Overdrive channel to your amplifier's volume, whether used alone or in conjunction with the B-Side.

・Gain

With a simple turn of the knob, you can dial in the perfect amount of saturation you need, from subtle crunch to thunderous distortion. It responds to pick attack and guitar volume just like a real vintage non-master volume amp.

・Tone

Adjusts the brightness and presence of the overdrive: turn it back for a warmer, mellower sound, or turn it clockwise for a brighter edge.

・Shape

Shapes the mid-frequency characteristics of your tone. From a smoother, more laid back sound to a richer, more present tone. This is the most powerful control for adjusting the timbre of your overdrive or foundation tone.

●EQ Controls (B-side)

・Level (B)

EQ/Boost: Boosts or reduces the output level of Channel B. Unity gain is at 10 o'clock, and at maximum counterclockwise (CCW) it provides extremely high headroom and a clean boost (22dB) without distortion.

Range

Achieve classic "treble boost" amp tones with a Rangemaster-style boost that controls specially selected midrange frequencies. This control adds the unmistakable midrange magic that made the tones of legendary musicians like Brian May and Rory Gallagher famous. It enhances clarity and definition, perfect for making your guitar stand out in a mix.

・Low/High

Fine-tune your desired EQ balance between low-end thump and high-end sparkle. When both channels are on, complement your chosen boost style or overall volume of the pedal. Works seamlessly with any amp.

・Order switch (AB / BA)

Choose the stacking order to get the exact tone you're looking for: placing the EQ/Boost before the Overdrive (B - A) will "increase gain" and placing the EQ/Boost after the Overdrive (A - B) will "increase volume."
