Special limited edition colors for Colour Box, celebrating its 10th anniversary
The Colour Box V2 inherits all the features of the V1, and now features expanded EQ controls,
New features include a Hi/Lo switch that provides large, clean headroom, and a circuit that passes phantom power supplied from the console through to the XLR input.
■ HI/LO switch to change headroom
The Colour Box V2 features switchable HI/LO controls for clean headroom.
A new switch has been added. LO mode makes it easy to obtain a pure clean sound without breakup, making it ideal for tone shaping without the need for distortion. HI mode easily distorts, allowing for a wide range of sounds, including overdrive, distortion, and fuzz.
■ SHIFT knob to adjust the EQ frequency band The blue EQ section features the standard Treble, Middle, and Bass controls, and three new Shift controls that interact with them. This knob
The Shift knob adjusts the frequency range of the Treble, Middle, and Bass controls. The center frequencies of the Shift knob are 10kHz for Treble, 1kHz for Middle, and 120Hz for Bass, and the Treble, Middle, and Bass knobs provide +/- 17dB of boost/cut.
■Safety-Through Phantom Power Circuit
When connecting the Colour Box V2 output to a console that can supply phantom power, a through circuit is provided to safely send the signal to the Colour Box V2's XLR input. This also supports condenser microphones that require power.
*If connected to a device that does not support phantom power supply, you will not be able to use devices that require power supply, such as condenser microphones.
■ Compatible with DC9V power supply
While the V1 was powered by DC18V, the V2 is powered by the standard DC9V. This makes power supply easier and eliminates the need for a special adapter.
