Morningstar FX ML10X

The ML10X is a compact loop switcher packed with powerful functionality that breaks boundaries.

You can individually control up to 5 loops in stereo, or up to 10 loops in mono by splitting them into TRS. The innovative reorder function also allows for flexible loop routing. You can freely change the order of each loop, and set them in series, parallel, or merge. Everything can be saved as a preset and conveniently recalled via MIDI. Spillover is also supported, leaving a reverberant sound when switching presets.

The ultimate utility tool for musicians and creators alike, it unlocks new sonic possibilities never before possible in any setup, whether mono, stereo, pedalboard, or rack.

The ultimate effect routing: The order of effects has a big impact on the sound. For example, when combining a booster and a distortion effect, if the booster is placed in the first stage it will increase the gain, and if placed in the second stage it will boost the volume. However, once you've set up the effects on your pedal board, it's not practical to instantly change the order of the effects on the spot.

The ML10X allows you to individually control up to 10 loops, allowing for flexible internal routing. You can instantly change the effect order from A → B → C to, for example, C → B → A. Simply changing the routing of your favorite effects can transform your already familiar sound palette into a new one. Routing settings can be saved as 4 banks of 128 presets, and conveniently recalled via MIDI.

Connect with a standard patch cable to create five mono loops, or with a TRS stereo connection, the jacks for each loop are split, allowing you to control the Tip and Ring individually, for a maximum of 10 loops.

Intuitive control
The ML10X's user interface is designed to be intuitive.

The built-in LCD display clearly shows important information like the current bank, active preset name and number, and allows you to set presets and reorder loops from the device itself.

The custom-designed web editor allows you to quickly and easily configure all ML10X settings. Simply drag and drop to select only the loops you need and arrange them in the order you like.

Each loop can also be individually named, so you no longer need to remember what's connected to a loop.

The ML10X is a comprehensive, standard MIDI device, so it's compatible with any MIDI device that can send PC/CC messages. And if you have a Morningstar MIDI controller, you don't even need to send MIDI messages! ML10X-specific message types make controlling selected loops on and off, scrolling and recalling presets, and more incredibly simple.

・Simple/Advanced presets
The ML10X's presets can be chosen from two modes: Simple mode, which allows for serial loop placement, and Advanced mode, which allows for more complex routing such as serial, parallel, and split/merge.

Spillover/High-quality sound design: The spillover function allows the delay and reverb tails to fade out naturally when changing presets or bypassing loops. This can be turned on or off individually for each loop and preset.

Each loop is processed 100% analog, and the Input/Output/Send/Return are equipped with high-quality buffers that minimize changes in sound quality while achieving maximum resolution.

*All inputs and outputs of the ML10X are always buffered. This buffer cannot be turned off in order to achieve internal parallel and split/merge routing.
