Description
Description
DELAY is an advanced delay based on the good old delay sounds of TAPE and Bucket Brigade, and allows you to add modulation (LFO) to the delay sound.
Despite its simple operation panel, you can select the LFO waveform and adjust the delay notation.
The delay time is 30ms-1250ms. By adjusting the LFO, you can add an instability like tape slack or a chorus-like effect to the delay sound.
Based on the PT2399 circuit, various updates have been made with the player in mind.
For example, this eliminates the phenomenon of the delay time jumping forward and backward as the value changes in steps, which often occurs when adjusting the TIME parameter of a digital delay, allowing the delay time to change smoothly.
[Major features]
TAP/HOLD footswitch: Press the footswitch at regular intervals to input the tap tempo. Holding the footswitch will increase the FEEDBACK setting and initiate self-oscillation with infinite repeats.
*The amount of feedback increase can be set using the internal trim.
LFO control
Control the LFO SPEED and LFO DEPTH to adjust the modulation applied to the delay.
Not only can you create interesting effects by having the delay decay and change, but you can also add effects beyond just delay.
By adjusting the LFO, it is also possible to create pitch fluctuations similar to the "slack" in tape.
Setting the SPEED to high will produce a tremolo-like effect.
If you set the TIME to the shortest, the SPEED to slow down, and the DEPTH to a deep setting, you can use it like a chorus.
LFO & Tempo Setting Mode In this mode, you can set the "LFO waveform selection" and "Tempo division" (tap division).
1. Press and hold the BYPASS footswitch for at least 2 seconds, then press the TAP/HOLD footswitch.
2. When the LED flashes, you have entered the setting mode.
3. Use each foot switch to edit the item you want to set.
4. Press and hold the BYPASS footswitch for more than 2 seconds to exit setup mode.
● LFO waveform selection:
The waveform changes each time you press the BYPASS footswitch.
・LED flashes once → Sine wave: A gentle curve.
・LED flashes twice → Square wave: Rapid up and down.
・LED flashes 3 times → Random: Unpredictable changes that are a mixture of sine waves and square waves.
● Tempo notation:
Each time you press the TAP/HOLD footswitch, the delay tap division changes.
・LED flashes once → quarter note ・LED flashes twice → dotted octave note ・LED flashes 3 times → octave note
Power supply: 9VDC/100mA/center negative power adapter (battery not supported)
・Size: W11.8cm x D9.2cm x H5cm 395g
