Description
In 1978, the most versatile and influential distortion pedal was invented in Kalamazoo, Michigan. After playing, repairing, and modifying every distortion pedal on the market, Scott Burnham and Steve Kiraly decided to create something completely different. Looking for something that wasn't available in the then-dominant MXR, DOD, and even BOSS product lines, they set out to build a pedal capable of producing sounds ranging from overdrive to distortion and even fuzz. By 1979, Scott had perfected the circuit in his basement workshop, surrounded by rats, and the rest is history.
The PackRat is the ultimate tribute to over 40 years of RAT evolution and its impact on the sound of the guitar. Artists of all genres, including Nirvana, John Scofield, Pink Floyd, Metallica, REM, The Eagles, Jeff Beck, and Radiohead, have shaped their sounds using the iconic tone found inside this unassuming black box.
Like other multi-mode pedal series like the Muffuletta and Bonsai, the PackRat uses a unique Digital Runway system, routing 261 components via 40 individual switches. Select from nine modes based on legendary or rare pedals, perfectly recreating even the aging (component drift) of analog circuit components.
OG: Based on the first RAT model. This initial model was sold for about four years and is known as the V1 model.
・WHT: Based on the white rectangular logo released in 1984, commonly known as the "White Face."
・TRB: Based on the TURBO RAT, which uses LEDs as diodes.
BRAT: Based on the BRAT, it adds an input buffer circuit and soft clipping in addition to the standard hard clipping of the RAT.

・LA: Based on LA Metal, released by Ibanez in 1986.
・GRF: Based on MO'D released by Landgraff from 1999 to 2000.
・Caroline: Based on the Caroline Guitar Company's WAVE CANNON.
