Description
Description
The Old Blue has never left his pedalboard since, appearing at countless live shows and on numerous albums, including Pantera's "The Great Southern Trendkill" and "Reinventing the Steel."
The Old Blue is a revamped recreation of Rex Brown's Pro Series II Wah. It uses the same through-hole components and circuit layout as the original, but the sweep has been tweaked to Rex's tastes to recreate the sound of the original 1970s Morley Wah.
The circuit is based on Morley's 1992 redesign, which introduced switchless activation and retrofitted the classic wah circuit with modern optics. A key feature of this old-school design is that it doesn't skimp on frequency range.
This gives you the intense, sweeping effect found in Morley's original 1970s wah pedals, while also being virtually immune to external noise and EMI.
Other great features of the Old Blue include switchless activation (just press the pedal to turn it on, take it off to turn it off), a wah level control with 15dB of headroom, premium buffer circuitry, LED indicators, and glow-in-the-dark treadle grips.
Like all Morley pedals, it's built like a sturdy tank using cold-rolled steel.
■The Rex Brown Pro Series II Wah has been modified and reproduced using original circuitry and through-hole components.

■Switchless activation: Press the pedal to turn it on, and release the pedal to bypass it.
