Description

"FM9 MARK II Turbo for BASS" with the bass preset "Bass TonePack" installed.

The FM9 MARK II Turbo is the latest floor unit equipped with a 4-core DSP and boasts the sound quality of the flagship model Axe-Fx III MARK II, a favorite among professionals who are particular about sound.

Equipped with one mono input, two stereo inputs, three stereo outputs, a USB input, and a 14x6 layout grid comparable to the Axe-Fx III MARK II, it supports preset design and audio routing tailored to the player's needs. The nine onboard footswitches not only instantly recall 512 presets and the eight scenes contained within each preset, but also provide direct on/off control of effect blocks and the tuner, making it the most user-friendly floor unit available. The footswitch LCD display is now larger and easier to read, with individual characters doubled in height and a bolder, more readable font.

This special edition comes pre-installed with Bass TonePack, a preset library for bassists created by AustinBuddy, a company that fully understands the potential of Fractal Audio Systems.

Updates from FM9 Turbo

The LCD display on the foot switch has been increased in size from 1.4" x 0.5" (36.0mm x 12.5mm) to 1.9" x 0.7" (50.0mm x 17.5mm). The character height has been increased from 4.6mm to 9.2mm, improving visibility.

*The dimensions/weight of the main unit have not changed.

The world's most advanced amp models, speaker simulations, and effects
■Amp Modeling The latest Cygnus X2 modeling is the most expressive and musical of any model developed by Fractal Audio Systems to date, reacting to picking nuances extremely closely to the original amp.

■A wide variety of speaker cabinets
The FM9 MARK II Turbo's Cab block is a 4-channel design featuring a legacy bank of Axe-Fx II cabinet models and over 2,200 impulse responses (IRs) created by major brands.
It reproduces techniques used in actual recordings and on stage, such as mixing two speaker cabinets and different microphone placements.
You can also load third-party IRs into the 1,024 user cabinet areas.

■Effects The FM9 MARK II Turbo is also an extremely excellent multi-effects unit, equipped with Fractal Audio Systems' cutting-edge effect algorithms, covering a wide range of effects, from drive, delay, reverb, compressor, EQ, phaser, flanger, and other modulation to a looper.

■FootswitchesEquipped with color LED rings and mini LCD displays, each of the nine footswitches can be set to tap (short press) and hold (long press) functions, and eight customizable switch layouts allow for a variety of usage. In addition, the View function allows you to access all switches of a virtual 12-switch controller with just nine switches.

■Connection with FC series
By connecting an FC series controller to the FASLINK II port, you can add not only a foot switch but also an expression jack and a foot switch jack. Simply connect and no special settings are required.
By daisy-chaining up to two FC-12 or FC-6 foot controllers, you can expand the number of foot switches to a maximum of 33.

■ 8-in, 8-out USB audio
Connecting via USB to your Mac or Windows computer, the FM9 MARK II Turbo functions as an extremely high-quality audio interface for playback, recording, and re-amping, enhancing your music production environment.
For studio recording, you can record and reamp using the FM9 MARK II Turbo's stereo output, and for live performances, you can simultaneously output the FM9 MARK II Turbo's stereo signal and stereo backing tracks.

■FM9-Edit
FM9-Edit is a Mac/Windows compatible editor for the FM9 series that displays, edits, and manages presets. You can instantly view the entire preset, edit blocks and parameters, copy/paste, drag and drop, etc. You can also convert Axe-Fx III presets to those for the FM9 series, and vice versa.

*FM9-Edit is compatible with Windows 7/8/10 and MacOS X 10.7 or later.
