For tone-conscious players, a natural overdrive/clean boost is a very important element for bringing out the original sound character of the instrument or amplifier they use.

BASS SOUL FOOD's gain stage, treble control, and signal path are designed to meet the needs of bassists and guitarists who demand a wide range of low-frequency response.

It is perfectly packaged with switchable true bypass/buffered bypass and a -10dB pad for active output instruments.

Bass Soul Food is recommended not only for bassists, but also for today's low-end focused guitar sounds such as 7-string and 8-string guitars.

It can be powered by a 9V battery or the included AC adapter (JP9.6DC-200).


[Control]
VOL: Sets the overall volume.
DRIVE: Controls the amount of input gain.
TREBLE: Acts as a tone control. Neutral at 12 o'clock.
BLEND: Determines the mix between the dry sound of the connected instrument and the distorted effect component.
When turned fully counterclockwise, only the dry sound is output (DRIVE/TREBLE has no effect at this time), and when turned fully clockwise, only the distorted effect sound is output.
PAD Switch (-10dB/0dB): Sets the level at the input stage. When connecting an active bass or a high-output passive instrument, set it to the -10dB side.
Internal bypass mode switch: Allows you to switch between true bypass and buffered bypass.
