Description
Description
The Wildstomp is a super machine created by musician and amp builder Tsuneo Akima in collaboration with Freedom CGR, allowing you to enjoy the irresistibly cool sound you hear on great records and in concert halls.
The controls aren't as easy to understand as those of a regular effects pedal, but rather than being an overdrive or booster, this unit is designed to resemble the amp head of a vintage tube amp with four inputs. From zero to full, you can use the extremely intuitive controls to find your preferred setting and create the ultimate powerful, thick, and well-defined bass sound. Switching between two modes lets you create sounds that suit the situation and your playing style.
This product is completely handmade by Mr. Akima, so production numbers are limited.
It's no exaggeration to say that this is the King Rocker Bass III; experience the thick, driving, wild bass sound!
・Bottom: Controls low frequencies and attack. ・Bump: Controls harmonics (high frequencies, distortion). (Does not function in Deep Mode.)
・Kick Up: Controls the volume of the Bump. ・Total: Master volume. This is an output control that can directly raise or lower the balance determined by Bottom and Kick Up.
・Bypass Switch: NORMAL/EFFECT selector switch with true bypass circuit ・Mode Switch: Wild Stomp can produce the following two types of sounds.
a. When the indicator is lit (Wild Mode):
This mode allows you to freely control all of the Wild Stomp controls and create your favorite sound. Use this mode for crunch and distorted tones.
b. When the indicator is off (Deep Mode):
The Natural Sound preset does not allow for control of Bump and Kick Up. By compensating for the weak points of the bass's acoustic characteristics and controlling the necessary harmonics, it improves the volume and sound quality depending on the position and string, bringing a smooth, forward sound image. This is a sound that cannot be achieved with conventional compressors or limiters. It's a natural sound, not a clean sound, and will definitely upgrade the sound of any bass.
Input/Output: Input, Output, DC Input
・Size: W118mm × D93mm × H49mm
Weight: 381g (batteries not included)
・Power supply: DC 9V
The following is from the manufacturer's website (by Tsuneo Akima): While the controls aren't as easy to understand as those of a typical floor-standing effect pedal, this pedal was designed with the intention of replicating the amp head of a vintage tube amp. The rich harmonics of a tube amp are essential not only for electric guitars, but also for bass, even at the clean, non-distorted setting. The tone of an instrument is created by harmonics. In addition to the full-volume drive sound of a tube amp, this pedal's Deep Mode position compensates for the bass's inherent acoustic weaknesses, improving volume and sound quality depending on position and string placement, resulting in a smooth, forward-focused, clean, natural sound. This is a sound that cannot be achieved with conventional compressors or limiters. It will elevate the sound of any bass.
