Description
The EDB-2 VAP is a versatile tube preamp and analog audio processor. Its ample gain and headroom allow you to connect a wide variety of acoustic instruments, providing powerful support for solving problems and improving sound quality on stage.
It allows you to adjust the tone of acoustic instruments, which are difficult to create, at your fingertips, adding warmth to the sound and helping to eliminate the piezo-like sound and feedback that can be a problem with piezo pickups.
The 2-channel design allows you to connect two instruments simultaneously, or use two different pickups on one instrument. It supports a wide range of input impedances and even allows phase reversal between channels.
This harmonic enhancer uses our proprietary HEAT (Harmonic Enhanced Analog Technology) function to add even harmonics 1 to 1.5 octaves above 1 kHz, adding a sense of "sparkle."
Additionally, the Blend control knob adds rich harmonics from the two-stage tube circuit, which mixes in some even harmonics that are perceived as warmth primarily in the low-mid frequencies.

Improved Class-A circuit input and low-noise professional audio circuitry deliver clarity and warmth, with a massive 32 dB gain. Five-band interactive EQ and channel mute switch on each of the two channels. Phantom power (48V/10V/5V) available for both phone jacks and XLR. Two phone jacks (mono/stereo compatible) and two XLR INs operate two channel preamps, and can also be used with two condenser microphones. Three-way input impedance switch on each channel. Send/return and insert points allow for separate connection of effect devices or tuners from both channels. FX loop provided; Variable high-pass filter with Range rotary control on each channel to roll off low frequencies; Notch filter that can be added to either channel to reduce feedback; Phase reverse and earth lift switches to correct phase imperfections, feedback, and ground hum; Mono, stereo, or mixed signals output via the line output jack and two balanced DI XLRs; Mini stereo jack AUX input (post-EQ) for backing and practice; Powered by an AC adapter (18V/1A, included) and backed up by a 9V battery; Includes a leather chest bag for easy transport; Belt clip included; Power supply: 9V battery (included), 18V AC adapter (center negative, included)
