Description

[Used drum sets from C&C Drum.Co, a US custom drum brand, are now in stock!]

-C&C Drum.Co US Made, Handcrafted, Vintage Style-
C&C is a rare custom drum brand that manufactures its drums in-house, from shells to drums, in their factory in Gladstone, Kansas City, Missouri, USA, by craftsmen who are also musicians.
Founder Bill Cardwell has been collecting vintage drums for many years and has honed his knowledge and skills through the restoration of many vintage drums.
When manufacturing his own drums, he studied how the shell structure and bearing edge cuts changed the tone and resonance, and in particular referenced the specifications of drums made from the 1940s to the early 1970s.
When C&C Drums was launched about 20 years ago, various artists began to desire custom C&C drums. As a result of improvements made in collaboration with these artists, the Player Date I and II series have become models that symbolize C&C's vintage sound.

-shell-
By producing our own drum shells, we can get the exact sound we want from our drums. Each shell is made from the finest ply and undergoes rigorous quality control before being glued and bent to shape.

-Bearing Edge-
C&C bearing edges are hand cut and sanded, and as the most important element of a drum's tone, they change the sound of the shell in countless ways.

-Hardware-
Understated and harmonious in design. Inspired by Kansas City architecture, C&C lugs are crafted from die-cast steel and finished with the highest quality chrome plating. C&C Deco lugs are available in single-ended and double-ended styles.

-Finishing-
From high-gloss lacquer to satin stain and everything in between, the quality of the finish matches the quality of the shell. Every drum is sanded and finished by hand by skilled craftsmen.

-Player Date I-
Player Date is carefully crafted by the same skilled artisans who create our custom line.
Available in two shell configurations (Player Date I and Player Date II), these drums bring vintage-inspired sounds to the modern drum world.
Developed in collaboration with Joey Waronker (Roger Waters, Beck, Atoms for Peace), the Player Date I features 7-ply mahogany shells with bread-and-butter bearing edges on the bass drum and full-contact bearing edges on the toms.
With a wide tuning range and a full-bodied, dark tone, the bass is emphasized, yet the instrument offers a gentle touch and sensitive response, making it ideal for any performance situation that requires musicality and a warm sound, such as in a recording studio or on a session.
