Description
Description
During the event, our products will be on display and for sale on the first floor of Ikebukuro.
Debuting in 1950 as the Broadcaster, the Telecaster has since reigned alongside the Stratocaster as one of Fender's flagship guitar models. Not only is it an original Fender model, but inspired models have also been produced by various other manufacturers, making it a truly classic electric guitar.
This particular guitar, shipped around 1973, is a fantastic example of a custom-spec instrument featuring an alder body and a black finish.
【body】
The total weight is approximately 3.6kg. The body is made of alder wood due to the custom black finish. One of its attractive features is its cool look with a black color, maple fretboard, and white 3-ply pickguard (replaced from the original). Under the pickguard, in the front pickup position, there is a cavity in the wood for a humbucking pickup, which has now been neatly repaired. Overall, there is weather checking, paint chipping and dents from use, belt buckle marks, traces of a 4-bolt jack plate, and tarnishing of metal parts, giving it a wonderful vintage guitar feel. The bridge unit has been replaced with a Fender "Road Worn" relic finish. The jack plate has also been replaced.
【neck】
The neck and fingerboard are made of one piece of maple. There is some age-related paint discoloration on the headstock, and minor scratches and paint chips on the fingerboard and back of the neck, giving it a nice, vintage look, similar to the body. The tuners show signs of having been replaced once, and are now the original Fender F-key tuners. There is some slight variation in the tightness of the windings, but they function properly. Overspray was applied during a previous refret. The frets and nut have been newly replaced by our shop, resulting in excellent playability. Headstock thickness: 16.0mm. Nut width: 41.4mm. It features a sturdy neck shape.
[Electrical System]
The controls feature a high-pass filter that retains treble when the volume is turned down, and current wiring that allows the use of a pickup mix position. The controls consist of a 3-way pickup selector (neck/mix/bridge), volume, and tone. The pickups have been replaced with Fender "Vintage '62 Reissue Telecaster" pickups. The volume potentiometer and output jack have also been replaced. The alder body offers a distinctly different sound from the regular ash body specifications, with a clear and warm neck position and a crisp yet pleasantly harmonically rich bridge position.
