Highly recommended, high-quality used items!
A limited-edition "1951 Telecaster" Journeyman Relic Finish model, commemorating the 70th anniversary of its release in 1951, has arrived in excellent used condition! The Nocaster Blonde color gives this guitar a striking presence!
This is a limited-edition "1951 Telecaster" Journeyman Relic Finish model, produced to commemorate the 70th anniversary of its release in 1951! The Telecaster is one of Fender Guitars' flagship models. The original model that was sold before the Telecaster took on the name "Telecaster" was the "BROADCASTER." It was released in the early 1950s, but at the time, the name "Broadcaster" was a registered trademark of Gretsch, so the model name decal was hastily cut off and shipped with only the Fender logo, which is why it is commonly known as the "NOCASTER."
This particular guitar is a limited edition produced to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Telecaster. It's a 2021 Limited Edition, and this one was manufactured in 2022, with a date of 05/02/2022.
The two-piece ash body, finished in Nocaster Blonde lacquer, boasts exceptional resonance and a beautiful appearance. The one-piece maple neck is made of 2A flame maple, and the neck shape is a 10/56 V-shape with a thickness measured from a guitar produced in October 1956.
The fingerboard radius is a compound radius of 7.25R-9.5R, rarely seen on vintage guitars. The frets are Narrow Tall size, which are slightly wider and taller than standard vintage sizes. The neck grip, fingerboard radius, and fret size result in a neck with excellent playability, and the compound radius allows for lower string action settings than usual.
The sound produced from the carefully selected ash body and one-piece neck delivers a clear, resonant, and full tone with just a single chord. Unlike NOS finishes, there is no buffing, resulting in a resonance that reflects the unevenness and thinness of the paint surface. This is a superb instrument that will develop an even more vintage-like sound as you play it more.
The superb body resonance and the sound produced by the highly resonant, hand-wound "50-51 BLACKGUARD" single-coil pickups do not drastically alter the natural acoustic sound, making it easy to express subtle nuances and providing a satisfying playing experience.
The pickup selector originally came equipped with a "'51 Modified Nocaster," which, when the bridge pickup was selected and the tone knob was turned down, blended the bridge and neck pickups. When the middle pickup was selected, only the neck pickup's tone knob was affected, and the neck pickup had a preset tone. However, this particular unit has been replaced with the standard mixed-tone wired control plate kit that came with the guitar when new.
(A control plate kit with '51 Modified Nocaster wiring is also included.)
This is a standard mixed layout, so it's ready to use right away!
The bridge is equipped with a vintage-style 3-way saddle. The bridge saddle is, of course, made of brass, and the sound obtained from the 3-way saddle's non-tremolo structure is characterized by a more direct and acoustic resonance compared to a Stratocaster. The resonance that you can feel even more than a Stratocaster is truly a testament to the quality of the Custom Shop! In addition, all screws, from the truss rod to the nut, are uniformly slotted screws, and vintage specifications that will appeal to enthusiasts are still present, such as the protrusion at the body-side joint, the jig marks, and the pickguard with clear lacquer.
The body and neck finish utilize the Journeyman Relic technique. Rather than a finish that mimics the heavy wear and tear of a guitar used extensively on stage, it replicates the aged look of a guitar that has been carefully played. While there is no widespread paint peeling, the distinctive feature of this finish is the heavy damage on the back of the neck, which is a result of being played extensively.
The back of the headstock and the neck plate feature the "LIMITED EDITION" Custom Shop logo and engraved plate, a mark of this limited edition model. Don't miss this复刻 model of a traditional masterpiece from the Fender Custom Shop!
We have just received a highly recommended, high-quality used item! It's a 2022 model.
As this guitar has a relic finish, it's difficult to determine if there are any scratches that may have occurred later. However, it shows minimal signs of wear overall and is in excellent playability. We have performed a full maintenance on it, so it is in recommended condition and ready to use.
The frets are in good working order. A light leveling has been done, and approximately 90% of the fret life remains. The nut is also in good working order. The truss rod can be adjusted normally.
The weight is approximately 3.23 kg. It's lightweight and well-balanced, making it easy to use for long stage performances, recording sessions, and rehearsals.
Accessories include a tweed hard case, certificate of authenticity, spec sheet, bridge cover, keys, a '51 Modified Nocaster wiring control plate kit, and a strap.
Don't miss this opportunity!
