Description
Description
Born Emily Sunshine Hamilton, Emi was captivated by the rustic mountain music and melodies of Appalachia from a young age. Emi Sunshine began her professional career performing at churches, community outings, and local festivals. After a live performance at a Tennessee flea market went viral on YouTube in 2014, Emi began to gain national attention for her incredibly powerful and distinctive vocal style. Deeply influenced by country music pioneers such as Hank Williams, June Carter, and Dolly Parton, Emi has spent the next few years touring nationally and establishing herself in her own right as a prolific songwriter and exemplary storyteller.
Her fanbase is comprised of millions of devoted fans from around the world, and personal musical heroes have been captivated by her commanding stage presence. Loretta Lynn, Emmylou Harris, Tim McGraw, Ricky Skaggs, Marty Stuart, and the Grateful Dead (to name just a few) are some of EmiSunshine's biggest supporters, praising her excellence.
What's even more amazing is that the ukulele has always been her go-to instrument of choice throughout her journey.
The EmiSunshine Signature Concert Ukulele is based on Kala's most trusted flagship model and features an original design inspired by Emi. The satin spruce top features a custom black vine rosette, mockingbird headstock, and accented black binding, supported by traditional satin mahogany back, sides, and neck. Hand-painted at Kala under Emi's guidance, this ukulele represents her values, process, and budding creativity.
