Description
Description
The APC64 is a powerful, next-generation Ableton controller that takes control and performance to new heights. With 64 RGB pads with velocity and polyphony aftertouch, eight user-definable touch strips, a revolutionary built-in step sequencer, and more, the APC64 is the future of hardware control of Ableton Live.
Deep control of Ableton Live
The APC64 delivers deep control over Ableton Live for music production and live performance. The 8x8 pad matrix features 64 velocity-sensitive, self-illuminated RGB pads, allowing you to launch clips and perform other tasks with ease, whether you're in a darkened studio or on a brightly lit stage. Eight user-definable touch strip controllers offer even more expressive power for your performance.
Instantly control a variety of parameters, including vibrato, modulation, and filter cutoff. Adjustments like volume and effect sends are reflected in the mix with precision, and the ACP's color screen always gives you insight into the parameters you're controlling and the current hierarchy. Powerful Features for Production and Performance: The APC64 is a powerful compositional tool. Create unique melodies and chord progressions using Note and Chord modes, transforming the 8x8 pad matrix into an expressive musical palette. To help you find inspiration, try the probability and mute functions to take your music in unexpected directions, then instantly capture your results with the built-in 8-track, 32-step sequencer.
Standalone Sequencer and External Hardware Control: Often, creative moments occur away from your computer. The APC64 also features MIDI/CV hardware control for a standalone, DAW-less setup. Power the APC64 via USB and connect directly to your favorite hardware, including synths, Eurorack modules, keyboards, and drum machines.
The APC64 features eight CV/Gate outputs, one MIDI input, and two MIDI outputs (both 3.5 mm TRS stereo mini). A standalone step sequencer allows for up to eight tracks with 32 steps and 16 voices of polyphony. Eight touch strips provide continuous control. The included APC Project Editor software lets you create and customize your own mappings and easily manage presets.
Instrument & Effects Plug-in Suite
The APC64 comes with a collection of VST/AU plugins from Air Instruments and Sonivox, including classic keyboards and synthesizers, as well as reverbs, vocal processing, and vintage gear-inspired plugins that are DAW-compatible.
From Air Instruments, we have Tubesynth, Electric, Ether, and Vocal Tuner plug-ins, and from Sonivox,
Includes the Sonivox Essential Keyboard Collection, plus 1GB of samples including drums and loops from Sampletools by CR2 Records.
Ableton Live Lite included
Ableton Live is the world's leading DAW for composition, live looping, and performance. Live's structure is based on two working modes: Session View and Arrangement View, and its workflow allows you to move seamlessly between the two modes, enabling you to improvise and compose in detail along a timeline at the same time.
Ableton Live is packed with instruments for every style and genre, and you can expand it with countless packs, instruments, and sounds. DrumRack, for example, is a powerful tool for working with samples and works perfectly with the APC64. In addition to individual pad control, the pad matrix provides a seamless overview, unlike the scrolling required on PC. Sample and edit sounds to easily create your own custom kits.
