In the early 1990s, CUSTOM AUDIO JAPAN was launched to popularize rack systems in Japan, a technology that was adopted not only by first-call musicians on the West Coast of the USA at the time, but also by world-touring artists such as U2. A glance at our archives of past systems reveals the immense trust placed in us by Japanese musicians in our build-up process, transforming their dream systems into personal rigs. Over 30 years later, with the trend toward downsizing to board systems, the number of self-builders and modeling amp system users has increased, and now, as players seeking to build their own personal sound systems without a detailed system setup, we have boldly reissued our Guitar Cables as the first step in our relaunch, so that players can learn from and reuse our valuable experience.
The origins of CUSTOM AUDIO JAPAN cables date back to 1998. That year, when Bob Bradshaw requested CAJ staff to support Richie Sambora's sound system during his first visit to Japan as a solo artist, Richie Sambora shared an unexpected story with us: "I'm such a cable fetishist that I've tried almost every guitar cable out there, but my favorite is Japan's MOGAMI." At the time, CUSTOM AUDIO JAPAN was using the same flexible CONNECTRONICS line cables that Bob Bradshaw used in his systems. However, based on Richie Sambora's advice, CUSTOM AUDIO JAPAN commissioned MOGAMI to make cables with the same specifications as guitar cables, but with the superior flexibility that is so important for system construction. The CUSTOM AUDIO JAPAN cables that started from there have since undergone a minor change in the sheathing material in order to comply with the RoHS Directive issued by the EU (European Union) for environmental protection, but have boasted a track record of over 20 years based on the exact same concept as back then.

Items with “USED” in the product name are pre-owned and will be delivered as shown in the photos. Signs of wear may be present. All items are function-tested by our staff and rechecked before dispatch.
■ Stock
Many products are stocked across Ikebe stores in Japan. As a result, shipment may take several days. In-store sales may also cause items to sell out. If an item is unavailable, we will contact you promptly; in that case, the order will be canceled and any payment will be refunded.
■ Shipping
We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
