Description
For players who want a classic jazz play-along material
This is the guitar (single line) edition of the Jazz Conception series, which is the intermediate/advanced edition of the popular series that is developed by level and instrument.
This book features 21 etudes based on classic chord progressions and song formats, including famous standards and blues that are often performed in sessions. This two-CD set includes a separate track for each song, along with a minus-one version, making it even easier to use.
Practice points are concisely summarized for each etude, and explanations of the phrases are included in the sheet music. It can be used in a variety of ways beyond just a collection of exercises, so use it in conjunction with the included CD to practice in a way that suits you best.
This Japanese version of the book includes "study points" and "practice tips" not found in the original, and also explains jazz concepts and analysis of each song. Study effectively with the accompanying CD, keeping in mind practice points that are difficult to understand from sheet music alone.
-The title of each etude is derived from the title of the standard piece on which it is based.
The model performance and the minus-one are recorded on separate tracks, making the two-CD set easy to use. The model performance and the minus-one are recorded on separate CDs. You can use them for a variety of practice purposes, such as listening to the model performance track, playing along with the minus-one track while looking at the sheet music, or creating your own original accompaniment.
・How to use this book and the accompanying CD ・Listen carefully to the model performance track ・Imitate the model performance and play it ・Analyze the performance while keeping the ensemble in mind ・Compare basic chords with reharmonized chords ・Create original performances using the chord chart
