J PLAYER'S BOOK 2025
SOLO WORKS and LUNA SEA -The Blazing Life-
The second special issue of Bass Magazine, a multifaceted analysis of rock musician J.
As LUNA SEA, they will hold a joint event with GLAY, The Millennium Eve 2025, on February 22nd, 2025, and the final show of the band's 35th anniversary tour, LUNATIC TOKYO 2025 -Black Suits Only GIG-, on February 23rd, both at Tokyo Dome. As a solo artist, J is an energetic rock musician who will start his nationwide tour J LIVE TOUR 2025 -BLAZING DAYS- on January 11th and release his 13th solo album, "BLAZING NOTES," on January 29th.
In 2011, Bass Magazine published the special issue "BASS MAGAZINE SPECIAL FEATURE SERIES J SOLO WORKS and LUNA SEA," which followed J's journey as a bassist. 14 years later, this book, "BASS MAGAZINE SPECIAL FEATURE SERIES J PLAYER'S BOOK 2025 SOLO WORKS and LUNA SEA -The Blazing Life-," is the second artist book to look back on his career from various perspectives.
In addition to the latest interview, which covers five themes - LUNA SEA, solo works, vocalist, bassist, and songwriter - the book also features a gallery of his basses, mainly Fender basses, reprints of interview articles that have appeared in bass magazines since 2011, comments from J himself on five of his signature songs selected from the perspectives of bass playing and songwriting, and bass scores for two songs, LUNA SEA's "WISH" and J's "BURN OUT," once again revealing the passion for music that continues to burn within him.
