Since his death in 1998, Kenji Omura's reputation has continued to grow. He was deeply trusted by many artists, including Taeko Onuki, Akiko Yano, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Haruomi Hosono, Yukihiro Takahashi, Tatsuro Yamashita, Kazuhiko Kato, and Yosui Inoue, and left behind a long list of outstanding performances on record and in live shows. Since his death, a flurry of releases, including the reissue of his original albums and the release of all seven titles in the Best Live Tracks series, coupled with a re-evaluation of his work in the 1970s music scene, has further highlighted his name as one of Japan's world-renowned masters. This comprehensive book conveys Omura's achievements and appeal as a guitarist. It also includes a CD containing rare recordings.
