Description
Description
With this easy learning style of "5 minutes a day," even those who can only read tablature can sight-read staff notation. Break through the barrier of sheet music! Surprisingly, there are many guitarists who have been self-taught and, despite being confident in their guitar technique, have avoided staff notation. Learning to read staff notation allows you to read sheet music from around the world and for other instruments, and even understand the note names, degrees, and relationships between notes on the fretboard! For those who think, "I know, but..." this is your chance to overcome your insecurities! The "5 Minutes a Day" series is popular because it's content that's often put off, making it easy for busy working people to stick with! The reasonable difficulty level and manageable measure length make it easy for beginners to tackle music notation with confidence. It's also renowned for its ease of viewing. Videos are included for peace of mind! Watch actual performances to check any parts you're unsure about. The goal is to reach the key of C major and accidentals! Enjoy the sense of accomplishment of completing the game to the end with a difficulty setting that will save all those who are struggling with instructional books!

[About the meaning of the phrase]
Some of the melodies in the phrases are difficult to understand, but if they were made easy to remember, you would end up playing them from memory rather than reading the music, which would not be good practice for reading music.
I hope you understand the intent of this book.
[Errata]
In the first and second editions, the "Note Length" section at the bottom of EX4-2 on page 17 was incorrect.
We sincerely apologize for this and will make the following corrections:
[Differences in rhythmic notation]
Additional comment from the editorial department: In this book, you may see different rhythmic notations such as "ta" and "tan" for the same quarter note. This is because the feeling of rhythm that a player gets changes depending on the phrase and combination of notes. Depending on the combination of preceding and following notes, the same quarter note may feel like "ta" or "tan." Author Jun Kajiwara has commented that "To understand the rhythm in simple scores, it's fine to progress by gradually incorporating your own style as the rhythm gets more complex."
