Description

Carefully selected Berklee basic training! To play guitar freely!!

This instructional book, presented by Tomo Fujita, professor at Berklee College of Music, the pinnacle of music education in the United States, offers a new concept: training your ear, cultivating your sensitivity, and freely playing the notes you want to play. While such themes tend to be vague and spiritual, the exercises in this book are very concrete and proven to be effective, and are actually used at Berklee. Each exercise is very simple, so you may complete it quickly, but the goal is not to mechanically complete patterns; rather, it is to train your ear and develop your sensitivity through practice. By practicing a little each day, you will discover moments when you notice melodies become more colorful, hear subtle rhythms more clearly than ever before, and play with more feeling!

[CONTENTS]
■Chapter 1: Preparing the practice environment ■Chapter 2: Reviewing basic fingering ■Chapter 3: Feeling rhythm with your body ■Chapter 4: Understanding scales in terms of intervals ■Chapter 5: Understanding triad harmonies ■Chapter 6: Acquiring a blues feeling ■Chapter 7: Changing the way you listen to music ■Chapter 8: Acquiring lifestyle habits that will improve your playing
