Latin Percussion (LP) 60th Anniversary Bongos Now in Store!

For 60 years, Latin Percussion (LP) has been creating high-quality percussion instruments inspired by the legendary artists and music of mid-century Latin and jazz.
At a time when many New York players had difficulty obtaining the Cuban drums they preferred, LP founder Martin Cohen worked with them to develop instruments tailored to their specifications, and LP was born.

The LP60 collection pays tribute to the original LP instruments and artists who pioneered the future of Latin music, forging lasting connections with the music community.
These commemorative instruments feature vintage features such as fiberglass bongos and congas, steel timbales with rolled-out bottoms, and new arrangements of LP originals like Afouché and Jam Block.

[60TH ANNIVERSARY BONGOS]
The 7-inch and 8.5-inch bongos perfectly match the 60th anniversary congas. Like the congas, they feature a hand-painted roasted hazel finish, rustic bronze-plated hardware with an oxidized look, and Kevlar-reinforced fiberglass shells. These limited-edition models will be produced in 2024 and feature the LP60 badge.
It has a look and sound befitting a commemorative model, with a powerful, well-balanced bass.

- Equipped with carefully selected black rawhide heads in 7-1/4 and 8-5/8 sizes.
Hand-painted roasted hazel finish with rustic bronze-plated hardware.
LP Comfort Curve II rims and 5/16 tension rods. Limited production in 2024.

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
