Description
Description
The guitar we have in stock this time is a 1974 model that has been modified to active specifications and is equipped with a Bartolini preamp.
【body】
The overall weight is approximately 100 kg. The body is made of alder. The Olympic White color, with its striking fading and weather-checking, is eye-catching. While the instrument exhibits typical weather-checking, paint chipping, dents, and tarnished metal parts, it remains in excellent condition. The bridge unit and control knobs have been replaced. While the instrument exhibits typical weather-checking, paint chipping around the finger rests and elbow contours, belt buckle marks on the back of the body, and tarnished parts, it retains the charm of a vintage instrument. The bridge has been replaced with the familiar Leo Quan "Badass Bass II." The output jack has been moved to the side of the body due to the change in the four control knobs, and the 9V battery box has been relocated to the back of the body. All other set screws have been replaced.
【neck】
The neck is made of one piece of maple. A crack in the wood near the nut caused by a loose truss rod has been repaired along with the truss rod being reinstalled, and the first fret position mark has been replaced accordingly. There is overall weather checking, fading on the headstock due to age, and some crisp paint chipping and dents on the back of the neck, typical of this period. Like the body, the condition is quite appealing. The tuners have been replaced with GOTOH GB640s at our shop. The frets have been filed and adjusted at our shop, ensuring good playability. The fingerboard has been repainted following the refret. The headstock is 14.1mm thick. The nut width is 38.3mm. The neck profile is relatively solid.
[Electrical system]
The controls are four knobs: two volume controls and two preamp controls (bass/treble). The pickups have been replaced with Fender Vintage 66 Jazz Bass Set pickups. The preamp is a Bartolini TBT preamp. The pot, capacitor, and output jack have all been replaced. The alder body produces a vintage tone, while the preamp expands the range of tones, making it a versatile instrument.
