A high-quality passive bass equipped with sound-aging parts.
This is a high-quality passive bass that Atelier Z is proud to release, equipped with the world's first biotechnology part, "Zymo Aged," which reproduces vintage tones by achieving a sound aging effect.
Based on the classic '60s JB-type model "MVT#605," featuring an alder body, maple neck, and 21-fret rosewood fingerboard, this bass features the aforementioned sound-aging parts, resulting in a bass with the rich resonance, overtone-rich tone, and smooth attack that are the hallmarks of a passive bass. The mellow, mellow nuances are immediately apparent, producing a sweet, snappy sound with a pleasant bounce. The low-mids are tighter, and the alder body's characteristic firm midrange and clear, high-end range are enhanced with a refined tone.
What is Zymo Aged?
Using a unique manufacturing process based on biotechnology, special bacteria are produced that ferment the metal and promote the changes that occur over time, similar to those experienced with years of playing.This creates the world's first organic sound-aging parts, which apply an invisible, random, natural fermentation process (aging) to metal parts such as bridges and springs, creating the resonance and tone that comes with age, reminiscent of that of an old guitar.
"Zymo Aged" creates a vintage tone with realistic aging, rather than the visual appearance of previous relic or aged finishes.
