This is a custom-order model from our store, featuring 34 inches and 19mm pitch.
Sugi Guitars is a high-quality Japanese-made guitar and bass brand that is manufactured without compromise, from design to wood selection, based on the many years of experience and advanced skills of its founder, Mr. Sugimoto.
The company's instruments are based on a simple passive circuit design, which maximizes the natural resonance and character of the wood, resulting in a solid, natural sound that stands out in a band ensemble without compromising the individuality of the player or the character of the equipment used.
Supported by many musicians, both professional and amateur, the brand has earned high praise both at home and abroad for its high level of perfection and musicality. Today, as one of Japan's leading custom brands, it is attracting attention from artists overseas.
This custom-made instrument features a carefully selected buckeye burl on top of an alder body, a 34-inch, 19mm wide-pitch 5-string, and a dark, solid ebony fingerboard that accentuates the buckeye's grain. The abalone block inlays and gold (XG) hardware create a luxurious feel.
Normally, the scale of a 5-string model is an extra-long 35 inches to take into account the tension of the low B string, but given the quality of the cedar, 34 inches is fine, so for this order we have asked for it to be 34 inches, the same as the 4-string.
This is a simple yet special piece that is hard to find in regular models.
