Description
Description
Three Dots Guitars, founded with the concept of providing instruments that are professionally playable and reliable at an affordable price, has released its third FB model. This third bass model was completed under the supervision of bassist Tak Saito, who is deeply involved with the workshop, and leading Japanese luthier Yoshiyuki Kikuchi.
The long-awaited third bass is a funk bass that combines the tone and playability needed to create a groove, from the funk music that took the world by storm in the late 70s along with the disco ball, to modern minimal funk music.
The classic, flat-body design features a slightly smaller Dinky shape for ease of handling. The heel cut at the neck joint also makes it easier to approach higher positions, and the body shape is designed for ease of playing without forcing you into an awkward position. Combined with the flat-top body and P-nut-width neck, this guitar not only offers excellent playability, but also a powerful punch and rich tone.
The original pickups, developed specifically for this model, deliver a vintage-like sound reminiscent of the '70s, while maintaining a wide range by lowering output and shifting the peak to the midrange. The pickups are tuned for excellent separation, reproducing every nuance of your picking touch and fingering. The passive construction, designed to accurately express the tonal variances and emotions the player desires, is a testament to the brand's commitment to quality. The default configuration is parallel, while the push/pull tone pot allows for series operation, doubling output and providing a powerful, punchy sound without sacrificing separation. Despite its passive construction, the pickups offer versatile sound control.
Rather than being ostentatiously unique, this model demonstrates the brand's consistent commitment to a simple passive style. With a rich sound that sets it apart from typical vintage reissues and incredible value for money, this model is sure to become a major presence as a practical model for players.
Starting with this production, the body is made of ash with PG mounting, the head shape is the same as that of Kikuchi Guitars, which is made by Mr. Kikuchi, and the fingerboard surface has been changed to a single dot.
Please experience the quality of our world-class domestic models.
