Bacci, the guitar that has captivated world-renowned groove masters like Michael League and Vincent Garcia! The 6-string model that attracted the attention of many players at NAMM 2025 is now available in Japan for the first time!
*This instrument was exhibited and played at the NAMM Show, so there may be some signs of use and minor scratches, but this will not affect the performance, so please forgive us.
Bacci is a company created by luthier Bruno Bacci in Tuscany, whose capital is Florence, the center of the Italian Renaissance. Utilizing his diverse skills in a wide range of fields, from instrument making to metallurgy, marketing, carpentry, and graphic design, Bruno carefully crafts each instrument with the pride and soul of Tuscany.
Although the brand is still relatively unknown, you may already know them as the manufacturer of the PB-type bass "Amrita" that Snarky Puppy leader Michael League has been using on tour for the past few years, and the white baritone guitar that Snarky Puppy guitarist Mark Lettieri uses in the music video for Fearless Flyers. This is a brand that is rapidly gaining attention.
This is a 32-inch, 6-string model from Marleo, featuring an alder body, figured maple neck, and ebony fingerboard. Its compact, medium scale, 52mm nut width and 17.5mm bridge string spacing provide a well-balanced, extremely smooth playing feel. It's no exaggeration to say that this 6-string feels just like a 5-string.
The Nordstrand Zen Blade pickup featured in this instrument is a unique hum-canceling type with two coils arranged horizontally around the center pole piece. Its output is lower than other Nordstrand models, faithfully conveying the nuances of your fingertip. It also pairs well with the built-in preamp, allowing you to enjoy a clear, unclouded sound even with the EQ boosted.
This is a guitar that I would recommend to players who are looking for a different approach than the so-called high-end 6-string guitars.
Other highlights include subtle inlays on the fingerboard, engraved plates from the neck joint plate to the back-through section, a uniquely designed bridge unit, and an original hard case and certificate, all of which show the attention to detail that went into the construction.
