Description
Description
Bacci drumsticks have captivated musicians around the world, including Michael League and Vincent Garcia! The brand's latest model, which garnered attention from many players at NAMM 2025, is now available in our Bass Collection.
Bacci is a company created by luthier Bruno Bacci in Tuscany, whose capital is Florence, the center of the Italian Renaissance. Utilizing his diverse skills in a wide range of fields, from instrument making to metallurgy, marketing, carpentry, and graphic design, Bruno carefully crafts each instrument with the pride and soul of Tuscany.
Although the brand is still relatively unknown, you may already know them as the manufacturer of the PB-type bass "Amrita" that Snarky Puppy?'s leader, Michael League, has been using on tour for the past few years, and the white baritone guitar that the band's guitarist, Mark Lettieri, uses in the music video for Fearless Flyers. This is a brand that is rapidly gaining attention.
This is a 34-inch Marleo V model with an alder body and a one-piece figured maple neck. It's an excellent instrument, capable of producing a full low B range despite its 34-inch size, and its moderate wildness brings out the expressiveness of the player's fingering, making it a very enjoyable instrument to play.
The pickups are Nordstrand reverse P+J type. The circuit is basically passive, but pulling the Tone knob activates the Noll PA-1 preamp, providing a natural, uncolored buffered output. The internal trim pot allows for up to +15dB of gain boost, so you can pull the Tone knob to use it as a clean boost, depending on the settings.
You can play passively with just one front pickup for a more subdued sound, or you can mix both pickups and turn on the preamp to enjoy a glossy active sound.
While exuding the charm of vintage instruments, this instrument is not a rehash of past works; rather, it is a one-of-a-kind instrument in which the originality can be felt in every part. It features a subtle inlay on the fingerboard, an engraved plate from the neck joint plate to the back-through plate, a uniquely designed bridge unit, and many other features that show the attention to detail, including the original hard case and certificate.
Bacci is a guitar that vintage bass users should definitely try out.
