FAQ

Description

A great used deal on the standard model of the classic and coveted acoustic guitar, the D-28!

The new D-28 has Chris Martin IV saying, "It brings out the best features of both the D-28s of my grandfather's and my father's eras."

The D-28, a Martin signature guitar that has been manufactured since the early 1930s and is one of the absolute standards in the acoustic guitar world, has undergone a major renewal in 2017!

■Changes from previous specifications: By shifting the bracing forward, the top vibrates more, resulting in a more delicate tone.
The slightly wider, thinner PA-shaped neck provides outstanding playability and makes the guitar easier to play.
- The top is a slightly darker color, the pickguard has a tortoiseshell pattern, and the pegs are open-back, giving it a vintage look.

Its iconic acoustic guitar look has long been loved by professional and amateur musicians around the world, and its sound is one that everyone has heard at least once in a live performance; the D-28 is truly a masterpiece.
The body features a combination of Sitka spruce for the top and Indian rosewood for the back and sides, a truly historic combination. Used by numerous manufacturers and models, it's become the standard in the acoustic guitar world. This classic combination, combined with years of research, accumulated know-how, and technology, produces a unique tone that only Martin can produce. The body shape, nicknamed the dreadnought, remains a perennial favorite today. Its powerful bass and rich overtones create a distinctive, enveloping sound.

The neck is made of select hardwood and features an ebony fingerboard. The nut width is now set to 44.5mm, which allows for a nut width and a thinner grip that is suitable for modern playing styles, making it suitable for both stroke and fingerstyle playing.

The body top has a slightly yellowish tint, which, combined with the tortoiseshell pickguard and open-type tuning machines, gives it a vintage look.

Such a drastic change to the specifications is rare in Martin's long history, and it shows the company's confidence and enthusiasm.
This particular guitar shows some signs of use, but there are no major scratches or dents, and most of the frets are still intact, making it a great used bargain in relatively good condition! With prices of new guitars from all brands rising rapidly these days, this is one you can't miss!
