Description
Description
Founded in 1977 and with a history spanning over 45 years, Headway released the "All-New Headway" in 2023, with the hope of taking flight into a new era.
While following the style of Headway's flagship model, the HD-115, the specifications and specifications have all been revised, and the craftsmen of Aska Team Build have collaborated with Headway founder Yasuo Momose to develop this model from scratch.
The design has been brushed up based on the "Eagle" concept, which has been the trademark of previous Headway models. Inspired by the eagle, the king of the sky, the Headway logo on the head incorporates a new design in the shape of a crown.
The Eagle is a new innovation for Headway.
For the 2026 limited edition model, we have selected carefully chosen materials in pursuit of sound and individuality.
This model combines 80's Sitka Spruce that is over 40 years old with high-quality Indian Rosewood, and to further add to its unique character, Premium Flame Mahogany is used in the center of the body back.
The design features the wings of an eagle soaring high in the sky, creating an original world view that is unique to The Eagle in both tone and design.
New bracing that evolves from previous Headway models
Based on the standard bracing that Momose has been using since the beginning of Headway, custom builders Yasui and Furuhata have incorporated modern arrangements and redesigned it to create the "Mid Point Shifted X Bracing" for The Eagle.
Additionally, the "Shallow Scalloped" design, which features shallower-than-normal bracing, was previously only available on Momose's Custom Shop models, but has now been adopted as a standard feature for The Eagle model. The well-balanced sound, which combines clear tone with a deep, boxy resonance and all of this wrapped in overtones, follows the Headway sound of the past while also revealing new possibilities for Headway.
The 80's Sitka Spruce used for the top is an exquisite wood that is over 40 years old and has been naturally dried for over 40 years, producing a tone that has a longer sustain than typical Sitka Spruce and a dry texture with a pleasant high note.
The finest grain. This is the word that best describes this mahogany. "Mahogany with grain like this is rare." Even Headway's craftsmen, who have worked with many different types of wood, agree on this, saying that Premium Flame Mahogany is so rare.
In addition to its beautiful looks that exude a strong personality, the placement of mahogany in the center of the back of the body combines the rosewood sound with the warm mid-range that is unique to mahogany, elevating the sound of this model to a higher level.
The Indian Rosewood used for the back and sides of the body is selected by a custom builder, consisting of 30 pieces for this limited edition production. This exquisite wood, carefully selected by a craftsman with experience working with a variety of materials and crafting thousands of guitars, provides the foundation for the sound of this model.
Latest neck grip ESV-CUSTOM
The "ESV-Custom" neck shape is a reshape of the "ESV" neck shape used in previous ATB models, offering a more comfortable grip. As the neck tapers toward the higher positions, it is designed to be 0.5mm thinner at the 12th fret than the "ESV," resulting in a comfortable grip even on the higher frets and improved playability.
Simply making the neck thinner can raise concerns about its strength, but Headway believes in ensuring that customers who choose a Headway will enjoy it for a long time, so they've incorporated two carbon support bars into the neck. This not only maintains the neck's rigidity, but also leads to quick response, transmitting vibrations the moment you play.
The brand logo is inspired by the Eagle, the king of the sky, and the Headway Crown Logo, which symbolizes a crown, shines brilliantly.
head inlay
The "Eagle" motif, which has been Headway's signature motif since its founding, has been refined. It depicts a scene of an eagle spreading its wings wide and soaring into the sky, evoking the image of flight into a new era. Limited Edition Plate: The brass plate is engraved with the words "The Eagle" and a consecutive Limited Edition number, limited to 30 pieces. This luxurious design provides an even greater sense of satisfaction when you hold it in your hands.
The fingerboard inlay features an eagle feather fluttering down. Eagle feathers are said to show the way forward and to help propel you to the future, so this design represents a new beginning for Headway and all those who own this instrument.
The guitar also features a golden eagle feather on the top of the body, and in keeping with the model name "Eagle," eagle motifs are incorporated into various parts of the guitar.
The top of the body is painted with a holographic paint to resemble a golden eagle's feathers. The feathers appear and disappear depending on the angle, and are designed to express the joy of encountering an Eagle and the hope that your encounter with this model will become a lifelong memory.
Sound hole cover: The distinctive Eagle design of this model is expressed in Premium Flame Mahogany and decorated with a white mother-of-pearl ring to create a luxurious feel.
The sound hole cover helps to moisturize the inside of the body and reduces feedback.
Premium Flame Mahogany is also used for the sound hole label, which features a sharp eagle gaze design.
The pickguard also features an eagle feather inlay, creating a flowing pattern of feathers flowing from the fingerboard to the pickguard and then to the top of the body, creating a seamless design throughout the guitar.
