Description

The now discontinued "HD-531 SF, S/STD" is now in stock in excellent used condition!

Way's modern "500 model"!

The 500 model in the Standard Series marks a new chapter in Headway's history. Compared to the traditionally designed "HD-115," this guitar has a more modern design. While inheriting the characteristics of the 500 series produced in the Asuka Team Build series, it also has the familiarity and playability you expect from a Japanese-made guitar, making it a guitar you can play to your heart's content in a variety of situations.

The body features a Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides, a classic and revered combination that delivers crisp highs and powerful lows. The neck is crafted from African mahogany with a Richlite fingerboard. The grip features an original slim U-shape that many guitarists find comfortable and easy to play. It's neither too thin nor too thick, making it easy to hold.

One noteworthy feature is the use of the '34 Semi-forward-shifted, Scalloped X Bracing, which was developed by master builder Momose through many years of trial and error. The cross position of the bracing is set closer to the sound hole, and the wider open space near the bridge allows the top board to vibrate more easily, resulting in a fuller, softer sound with more emphasis on the bass range.
The tone is appealing, with each note having a core, rich overtones, and deep sustain. The HD body shape is a so-called dreadnought style, and its powerful, harmonically rich sound reflects well, enveloping the player.

The headstock features a flapping hawk inlaid with wood. The logo is designed to match the rounded shape of the headstock. The position markers are made of luxurious snowflake inlays, each varying in size depending on the fret.

Also, in case you later install a pickup, the guitar uses a "conversion endpin" with a larger hole diameter than a regular endpin. This allows you to replace the endpin jack without any modifications. Also, while installing a preamp requires routing several wires inside the guitar, this model comes pre-installed with a cable hook and battery holder, allowing you to use these parts to securely fasten the guitar in place when installing the pickup.

*This model does not have a preamp.

There are no noticeable scratches or imperfections in the condition of this particular instrument, and the truss rod works without any problems.
There are plenty of frets, so you can use it with confidence as your main instrument.

Now that production has ended, it is rare to find a second-hand item in near-new condition, so don't miss this opportunity!
