This popular model from the Vintage Series, which has sadly been discontinued, is the herringbone dreadnought HD-28V!
The condition of this instrument is such that there are dents in the paint due to dents, scratches from playing, and scuffs scattered throughout, and it shows signs of use appropriate for its age.
About 40% of the frets remain, and although the rod is stiff, there is room for movement in the tightening direction of more than 180 degrees.
When an item arrives at our store, we carry out a full inspection at our affiliated workshop and then carry out the following repairs.
・Replacing a peeled bridge ・Greasing the rod ・Striking the frets ・Replacing the nut ・Adjusting the saddle string height
This is a reproduction of a pre-war D-28, featuring herringbone trim, long saddles, a beveled tortoiseshell pickguard, diamond and square inlays, and a top painted with vintage toner.
It also features specifications that are key to the sound, such as a V-shaped neck and forward-shifted X bracing.
The sound of this guitar, which has been played thoroughly for a quarter century, is impressive. It has a solid volume and a powerful sound that fully captures the overtones that are characteristic of Martin guitars.
