Description
Fingerstyle guitar, the legendary S-101III
Maurice has a long history as a domestic manufacturer and has a wide range of fans, from legendary musicians to amateurs.
Despite their careful craftsmanship, they boast incredible cost performance and offer a wide lineup that covers everything from folk style to finger style.
Maurice is a long-established Japanese brand that dominated the folk music boom of the 1970s, but it was also Maurice that developed and released a guitar that was ideal for the new movement known as "fingerstyle guitar" in the 2000s, playing a key role in spreading and recognizing this style throughout Japan.
The S Series was released in 2001 as a dedicated fingerstyle instrument and gained popularity for its style-specific playability and outstanding sound. Since then, it has been improved many times, and is now a guitar series that continues to be in use today, more than 20 years later, as a ``masterpiece of fingerstyle guitar'' loved by a wide range of players, from beginners to veterans.
This instrument, the "S-101III," is the third-generation model of the S-101, which is particularly popular among the S series for its versatile ease of use.
It features a Grand Auditorium/Deep Round body, solid Sitka spruce top, solid Indian rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, and ebony fingerboard and bridge.
The unique round back design provides a rich, full bass while maintaining a well-balanced range.
In addition, the bracing and internal body structure have been further improved from the previous model, resulting in a sound that is more powerful and airy.
With a long scale and Gotoh peg tuners that provide exceptionally stable pitch even with drop tuning, a 44mm nut and ultra-thin neck shape that make it easy to play even with precise fingering, and other features that meet the precise demands of fingerstyle guitarists, this guitar is sure to become a reliable companion.
Another attractive feature is that it is made entirely in Japan, is entirely handmade, and is made of solid wood, offering excellent cost performance at around 200,000 yen.
It is also highly recommended as a step-up for beginners to fine gait styling!!
Come experience the power of this ever-evolving fingerstyle classic for yourself!
