Description
Description
Since its introduction in 1934, the D-28 has established itself as a popular and classic model, so much so that it can be called the face of acoustic guitars to this day.
This is a limited edition model commemorating the 75th anniversary of the birth of the D-28.
This instrument is an authentic 1934 model, which can be said to be the foundation of the modern D-28 style.
The top is made of Adirondack spruce and the back and sides are made of Madagascar rosewood.
The neck features a long saddle and a comfortable V-shaped saddle, producing a rich, woody sound that is unique to this shape.
The headstock and label are printed with "75th Anniversary Edition," and the decoration includes herringbone and diamond inlays on the fingerboard, giving it a special feel, while also featuring specifications unique to the '34 model that are popular among fans of the old model.
The tone is a perfect match between the hard, solid, and deep transparency of Madagascar rosewood and the rich, deep resonance of Adirondack spruce, producing a loud yet elegant and delicate tone.
The sustain is also excellent, and when you pluck it, the sensation of a hammer hitting taut piano wire is transmitted to your abdomen, giving you the feeling that the instrument and your body are one.
In terms of condition, there are small scratches all over the guitar, small dents the size of grains of rice on the back of the neck, and some paint wear due to age, so it shows signs of wear appropriate for its age, but the neck is in good condition and the frets, although slightly worn, are still tall enough.
In terms of modifications, the saddle and nut have been replaced, and there are visible traces of glue on the bridge.
As the name Battleship suggests, this guitar has a magnificent sound and a wide range of range. It is an extremely attractive instrument not only for its tone but also for its specs and special limited edition model.
