Martin Custom Shop Model Ikebe Special Order

Martin, a long-established name in the acoustic guitar world, continues to captivate the world with its sound, blending tradition and innovation handed down through its long history. The Custom Shop is the highest-end production line within Martin. They produce a wide range of instruments, from gorgeous show models to models that pursue a vintage feel to the utmost, but of course they also offer modern models made with the finest woods.

This model is a custom order from Ikebe Musical Instruments, based on the D-45 and featuring a genuine mahogany body. While the all-mahogany model includes the regular "15 Series" such as the D-15M, this particular model uses genuine mahogany, selected according to Martin's own selection criteria, and is crafted from the finest wood stored in the custom shop. The neck is also made of genuine mahogany, with an ebony fingerboard.

The specifications of other parts are the same as those of the D-45 Standard, and this has been deliberately set so that the difference can be felt.
The sound has the powerful bass you'd expect from a dreadnought, but the midrange is packed in with the mahogany feel, making it very pleasant to listen to. The warm sound produces a gentle tone whether you play with your fingers or a strum. The overtones are also well-balanced, so the sound doesn't get crushed when playing arpeggios, and the response is neither too fast nor too slow, making it comfortable to play.

The inlays stand out in contrast to the color of the all-genuine mahogany, giving it a unique appearance that is reminiscent of a custom-made item.

Many products are stocked across Ikebe stores in Japan. As a result, shipment may take several days. In-store sales may also cause items to sell out. If an item is unavailable, we will contact you promptly; in that case, the order will be canceled and any payment will be refunded.

■ Shipping

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
