Description

- Bourgeois Guitars -
Bourgeois Guitars, created by guitar maker Dana Bourgeois, is a top American guitar brand, alongside Collings and Santa Cruz.
The guitars are made using carefully selected materials, solid technical skills, and designs born from Dana's extensive experience, and they combine ``high precision as instruments'' with ``a rich, musical tone,'' earning them high praise from many musicians.

- Touchstone Series -
The appeal of the Touchstone Series lies in Dana Bourgeois' hand voicing system (also known as tap tuning, which involves striking the wood to check the tone).
Over the past 50 years, he has honed this time-honored technique and is now recognized worldwide as a leading expert in voicing guitar tops, selecting the finest tonewoods in the world by interpreting the tonal potential hidden within their fibers.
To maximize the "tone" of each wood, each brace is painstakingly carved and hand-voiced to ensure the sound is perfect. Once a Touchstone Series top is completed, only those that have passed a final inspection by Dana are vacuum-sealed and shipped to the Eastman workshop.
There, Eastman's hand-picked luthiers, meticulously trained in Beaujois' philosophy and construction methodology, bring each guitar to life.

This instrument, the "Vintage/TS D," is a classic dreadnought, D-28 style.
It has uncompromising, authentic specifications, including a Sitka spruce top, Adirondack spruce bracing, Indian rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge, and Schaller pegs.
The sound is also excellent, rivaling that of the all-USA-made Beaujois. It features the thick, lustrous fundamental tone and voluminous midrange characteristic of Beaujois, as well as beautiful, lingering overtones and a long sustain without being too assertive. All of these are blended in exquisite balance, producing a pure tone that brings out the player's nuances.

This #T2403219 is an individual that features powerful low frequencies and sparkling overtones that are typical of the D-28 style.
As is typical of Beaujois, it has a rich mid-range without being too bassy, making it a sound that can be used for a variety of styles, from vocals to fingerstyle and bluegrass.
It is a well-balanced instrument that responds very responsively to input, and follows picking neutrally from pianissimo to fortissimo, providing a very smooth playing feel.

At just 500,000 yen, this is a very affordable model among Beaujois models, but it would be a shame to describe it as cost-effective; it has been crafted with no compromises whatsoever, resulting in an instrument that allows you to experience overwhelming sound quality.
Don't miss this opportunity to experience it for yourself!
