Description

A chorus made by CAT'S Factory that has received high praise from Akira Takasaki of LOUDNESS!

The CAT'S Factory signature pedal "AT-222" series is a favorite of Akira Takasaki, who uses it on stage and in a variety of other situations.
Following on from the previous Fixed Wah, the latest addition is not a booster/distortion pedal, but rather a modulation-type chorus, the first of its kind in the series to be a standalone effect!

Chorus is often thought of as an effect that is used with clean sounds to create a beautiful sound, but the AT-222CH is not only great for clean sounds, but also works great with distorted sounds, producing a juicy, rich sound with width and thickness.
Also, while spatial and modulation effects are generally connected after distortion, the AT-222CH produces outstanding sound even when connected before distortion, and the Color control allows you to set the sound to anything from a thick, warm, and calm chorus sound to a gorgeous, sparkling sound.
This means that even in an environment where you are mainly using the distortion of an amp that does not have a channel switching function or an effects loop, the chorus effect will not be drowned out by the distortion, and the underwater sound of distortion plus a deep, fast-moving chorus will still be output clearly.

The W unit is the same size as the 6-knob "Live or Die" and has a matte black finish. In the center, Takasaki's "AT" logo is printed large in a blue gradient color that evokes a chorus sound, and the model name "Ocean Flow" is written in a font reminiscent of the fourth generation of LOUDNESS.
The chorus feature is a completely new addition to the AT-222 series, and has not been included in the limited edition 3-in-1 or 4-in-1 models released so far.
As with previous products, Mr. Takasaki repeatedly tested the prototype in various environments, including on stage, and the final product was tuned to a sound that suited Mr. Takasaki's personal preferences.
Of course, the final version of the AT-222CH is installed at Takasaki's feet and is already in use on stage.

CAT'S Factory pedals are used by leading guitarists and bassists, including Takasaki and Masayoshi Yamashita, but because they are manufactured and sold only to direct orders from users, new pedals are not available in music stores, and the AT-222 series is only sold at a limited number of music stores.

Due to the significant increase in the cost of raw materials and transportation costs used in effects pedals, this is a pricey item for a chorus pedal, but as Mr. Takasaki aimed to create "the best chorus for distortion," the chorus sound when combined with distortion is truly exquisite, and the sound quality will satisfy not only fans but also many guitarists.
Although we do not set a production number such as "Limited to XX units," some of the parts used inside are dead stock items that are no longer in production, so there is an effective limit to the number of units that can be produced.
Please try it at the store!
