Description
Getzen
Elkhorn, Wisconsin, USA.
Founded in 1939 by TJ Getzen, Getzen has continued to carry out its policy of "Getzen for brass instruments" for over half a century, and continues to do so today.
In the 1960s, they successfully developed the best-selling 900 series, and all models were redesigned at the same time, attracting a lot of attention from professional musicians.
Since 1991, the company has further matured and developed through its association with Allied, the company founded by Robert Getzen (current chairman).
Allied, which started out by repairing wind instruments and whose catalog is so highly regarded in the United States that it is called the Bible of the wind instrument repair industry, has combined its cutting-edge technology with the manufacturing techniques of Getzen's skilled craftsmen to enable Getzen to maintain top-level quality as a specialized manufacturer of brass instruments, and has now earned an unshakable position and reputation as a specialist manufacturer of handcrafted wind instruments. Aiming to further improve quality, Getzen is also conducting research and development on new concepts, such as the Custom Series.
Getzen continues to carefully handcraft high-quality instruments to meet the needs of players of all levels.
