Description
Description
Elixir's original coated wound strings debuted at the 1997 NAMM Show and have since been released in new variations. Featuring an ultra-thin Nanoweb coating, Elixir strings maintain high-quality sound and last three to five times longer than conventional strings. They offer a bright, powerful sound similar to uncoated strings, while also offering minimal finger noise. The special coating on the string surface protects the strings from sweat and oils, setting a new standard for ultra-long life bass strings. *This is for 5-string strings.
We've applied all of the technology we've cultivated in developing nickel-wound strings to create stainless steel strings that are suitable for a wide range of playing styles. The coating eliminates the harsh feel of stainless steel strings, a common weakness. The optimized tension and response speed combine to deliver a level of playability unmatched by previous stainless steel strings. Furthermore, while retaining the hard, aggressive sound quality of stainless steel, harsh overtones are shut out, providing a consistent tone even when stringed tight.
Gauge: 5-String Light/Medium B/Long (.045 .065 .085 .105.135)
Scale: Long
*Regarding changes to the package design*
The new design will be gradually introduced from July 2025 onwards, and there is a possibility that the old and new designs may be mixed for a certain period of time.
