Description

Jackson American Series

Founded in Southern California in 1980, the Jackson brand is a pioneering brand that caters to the needs of hard rock and metal virtuoso players by providing instruments with the features necessary for technical, high-speed playing. For the past 40 years, Jackson has revolutionized the high-performance guitar industry and has become a global leader in the metal industry. The Jackson American Series marks the brand's first flagship product line to be manufactured in the company's Corona, California, facility, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Jackson's history.

Equipped with all the essential elements for technical playing, the American Series Soloist SL2MG sets a new standard in the premium, high-performance guitar category, inspiring players worldwide. Featuring an alder body and a three-piece maple neck with neck-through construction for enhanced sustain, the neck is reinforced with graphite reinforcement rods to minimize the effects of temperature and humidity. The ebony fingerboard with a 12-16 compound radius, carefully rolled edges, 24 jumbo stainless steel frets, and inverse mother-of-pearl shark fin inlays are designed for stress-free, high-speed playing. Luminlay glow-in-the-dark side dots ensure excellent fret position visibility, even on dark stages, and a heel-mounted truss rod adjustment wheel makes neck adjustments easy.

The EMG 81 and EMG 85 humbuckers deliver punchy tone with the clarity and separation essential for modern metal. Controls like a 3-way blade switch, one volume, and one tone provide simple yet powerful sound and performance for a wide range of genres. Premium features like a Floyd Rose 1500 Series double-locking tremolo system with a pop-in tremolo arm and stainless steel screws, Gotoh MG-T locking tuners, and Dunlop dual-locking strap buttons ensure reliable tuning stability and performance, even during bold and aggressive playing.

Featuring Jackson's trademark attractive styling, the American Series Soloist SL2MG comes equipped with a matching Jackson pointy headstock and black hardware.
