Description
Description
As intended by the design concept, this is the ideal overdrive, combining the dignified distortion of a well-organized TS with direct and aggressive expressive capabilities.
Passion-inducing high-gain tuning is controlled by a two-band EQ with a variable range of up to ±15 dB.
Recreating classic 808 circuitry with the versatility of a powerful two-band EQ inspired by the vintage Studer recording console, Sidecar is packed with character and attitude, delivering classic overdrive and distortion sounds, as well as fuzz and boost at extreme settings.
Sidecar's front end is a refined version of the classic 808 overdrive, tuned for bigger low end, a wider gain range, and more headroom. At the heart of the clipping section is a pair of germanium diodes with a softer response, preserving the dynamics and feel of your playing. A powerful two-band Baxandall equalizer section follows the drive section, allowing you to cut and boost high and low frequencies by up to 15dB, allowing you to shape your tone while always remaining musical.
