Description

The Guyatone "Sharp Five" appeared in the midst of the electric guitar boom in the 1960s. This masterpiece was developed in collaboration with Nobuhiro Mine, who is known as the lead guitarist of "Munetaka Inoue and the Sharp Five" and is still actively working today.

This time we have the LG-350T Custom, which was released as part of a model change in the late 1970s.

【body】
The overall weight is approximately 3.6 kg. The offset body features a distinctive long horn, giving it a sharp body shape, as its name suggests. The body is made of sen wood. While the guitar shows signs of age, such as scratches, dents, dullness on metal parts, and loss of plating, the glossy finish remains intact. Several of the pickguard screws appear to have been replaced.

【neck】
The neck is made of maple with an ebony fingerboard. The position markers are star-shaped, and the headstock logo features the slightly pop "Guya" design, a design that was only used during this period. The back of the neck has some paint peeling, and there is a dent near the side of the 10th fret. Unlike the previous Sharp Five, which had a scale length of approximately 620mm, the LG-350T Custom has a scale length of approximately 628mm, which is another notable feature. While the frets and nut show signs of wear, there is no excessive buzzing or clogging, and the playability is excellent. The nut width is approximately 40.6mm. The neck profile is characterized by its narrow width, solid thickness, and excellent grip.

[Electrical system]
The controls are 1 volume, 1 tone, 3-way pickup selector switch, and slide switch. The pickups are three single-coil pickups with metal parts for enhanced magnetic force. The pickup selector switch and slide switch allow for seven different sound combinations, giving the guitar a versatile sound that is beyond its appearance. The output jack has been replaced.
