Description

Carefully selected consignment items (sales on behalf of customers)

Teisco/KAWAI's export brand "Heit Deluxe" was available for a short period of time from the late 1960s to around 1970. It was distributed in very limited quantities in Japan, making it a rare brand that is hard to come across.

This is probably a "5-SB" model. Although there are some scratches, it is in relatively good condition.

【body】
The overall weight is approximately 2.7 kg. The compact offset body features a unique Heit original shape and cut body ends, not found in Teisco or Kawai models. The vertically striped red tortoiseshell pickguard is a relatively rare feature for this model. While there are scratches, dents, cracked paint, and discoloration of metal parts, typical of its age, the guitar is in relatively good condition.

【neck】
A "Heit Deluxe" brand badge is attached to the headstock. It's unclear whether the model name sticker commonly found on the back of the headstock is original or missing, but it's missing. The tuners are open-gear type, and although there is some inconsistency and play, they still function. It's nice to see that the bushings and tuning peg buttons, which tend to break, remain in good condition. The frets aren't worn much, but the string height is quite high due to their construction. The nut appears to have widened grooves filled with adhesive. The nut width is approximately 42.7mm. The neck shape is very stylish.

[Electrical system]
As you can see, the controls are simple: 1 volume/1 tone. It has one pickup, a single-coil pickup that was common in Kawai copy models from around 1967. The pots, capacitors, output jack, and wiring appear to have been replaced.
