Description
Fender Japan was born in the early 1980s by incorporating Japanese-made guitars. For a long time, it was affectionately known as Fenjapa, and even today, after many twists and turns, Japanese-made Fenders are still loved all over the world.
This is the Robben Ford model "ES-RF" that was in the lineup in the 1990s, and it has arrived in player-replacement condition.
【body】
The overall weight is approximately 3.7 kg. The body back is made of alder with a spruce top, and the color is antique burst. It is based on the Esprit model, which was only available for a short time in the late 1980s, and uses the same materials as the Esprit Ultra, as well as the shape. There are scratches and dents throughout, and the paint is rough, especially on the top of the body.
【neck】
The neck is made of maple with an ebony fingerboard. It is set into the neck and has the same distinctive block-type position markers as the Esprit Ultra. The tuners function well with little variation in winding. The frets and nut have worn slightly with use, but this does not affect playability. The nut width is approximately 43.2mm. It features a distinctive oval shape with a reduced thickness.
[Electrical system]
The controls are 2 volume, 2 tone, and a 3-way pickup selector switch, and the pickups have been replaced with a set of Seymour Duncan SH-55s. The neck (front) and bridge (rear) positions are currently reversed. The original coil tap mini switch has been replaced with a tone bypass switch, and the bridge position tone pot has been replaced.
