Description

The 2022 limited edition 1958 Precision Bass Journeyman Relic is now in stock!

With its commitment to wood and thorough quality control, the Fender Custom Shop is arguably the ultimate modern Fender. This model features an anodized pickguard, a defining feature of the 50s, giving it a distinctive presence.

The carefully selected two-piece alder body and single-piece maple neck provide a comfortable, secure grip, while the narrow-tall frets and 9.5-radius fingerboard curve create the distinctive grip of a '50s P-bass, while still providing the resilient midrange response you expect from an alder body.

The resilient tone is impressive, with a punchy, clear sound that lifts and pushes the picked notes. You can enjoy the powerful mid-range sound that bites into you, which is a bit different from the subdued, wet atmosphere of the early 1960s P-basses.

The bass is finished in the classic Vintage White finish with Heavy Relic, showcasing cracks and paint chipping from scratches on the fingerboard, giving it a battle-hardened look.
The truss rod has plenty of room, and although the neck is slightly high, it can be used without any problems.
