Description
Description
Applause by Ovation is an entry-level brand that follows the cost-performance of Ovation Guitars, a company founded in 1966 as a subsidiary of the American aviation company Carman Corporation that has been recognized for its innovative and original form and sound on numerous historic albums. Applause products inherit the characteristics of their higher-end Ovation line, but are also attractive for their cutting-edge technology and sound quality that is beyond their price range.
●“American Elite Series”
It's no exaggeration to say that the multi-sound hole design revolutionized the concept of electric acoustic guitars at the time. Along with the center sound hole design of the "American Standard Series," the sound holes not only create a striking appearance, but also take full advantage of the distinctive rounded back structure of the body, made of lyrecord material, which not only enhances the sound spread but also helps to suppress feedback.
● "Mid Depth Design"
This is the most popular body back shape among "Ovation" products, with a thickness similar to that of a typical acoustic guitar, giving it a more acoustic feel than the "Super Shallow Design." Combined with the lyre cord material, it produces a crisp, deep, and truly "Ovation" sound. Furthermore, the rounded back design provides a comfortable grip when holding the guitar.
The body is crafted from spruce, with a satin top coat that prioritizes the body's resonance with a thin, natural finish. This wood-like instrument boasts a warm, resilient sound. The neck features a 43mm nut width, a slightly shorter scale than an electric guitar, making it a natural fit for those switching from an electric guitar and allowing for versatile expression. The electric section features a "CE304T" 3-band EQ preamp and "CT-600A" pickup, which reproduce the sound quality of higher-end models without compromising the tone quality of the higher-end models by intentionally narrowing the tonal range to produce a unique sound that's neither acoustic nor electric. Of course, it also has a built-in tuner.
It's perfect for solo players, and its sound will stand out in any band ensemble, whether as a lead or side instrument, and is sure to make a statement. This is a guitar that will allow many people to rediscover the charm of the Ovation acoustic.
