Description
Description
The SGT-DI Blue Line is a silver version of the SGT-DI, but with a color reference to the original 1969 "Blue Line" SVT amplifier. The compact, lightweight, and portable design includes a familiar, simple 3-band EQ, plus an SGT (Super Grit Technology) overdrive circuit with selectable voicings between the legendary SVT and B15, an Ultra High/Low switch, an onboard compressor, and more.
In addition to these features, the SGT-DI Blue Line is the first Ampeg product to feature an IR (Impulse Response) loader/cabinet simulator, allowing you to control every aspect of your bass tone. To celebrate the release of the SGT-DI Blue Line, SGT-DI Blue Line and SGT-DI users can load an Ampeg 75th Anniversary IR pack featuring the SVT-610HLF, SVT-810AV, and SVT-15E cabinets using the free Ampeg IR Loader application.
By combining traditional analog techniques with modern digital technology, it offers bass players a unique sound.
1. Tone controls including the traditional 3-band EQ
The classic Ampeg 3-band EQ now includes a mid-range knob that lets you adjust the frequency anywhere from 200Hz to 3kHz, allowing for more in-depth equalization. Features like ultra-low and ultra-high switches and an onboard compressor allow for aggressive tone control.
2. SGT overdrive circuit with selectable SVT and B15 voicings
The SGT (Super Grit Technology) overdrive circuit, which recreates the warm distortion characteristic of Ampeg tube amps, now offers a choice of the legendary SVT and B15 voicings. Two coaxial knobs adjust the amount of distortion and volume level for exceptional ease of use.
3. Onboard IR Loader/Cabinet Simulator: In addition to the three factory-installed Ampeg cabinet simulators, you can load your favorite IRs into the three IR slots. This allows you to recreate and control your bass rig from start to finish with just this one unit. The IR/cabinet mix level can be adjusted using the knob on the side of the unit.
-Free Ampeg IR Loader app (for Mac/PC)
