Excellent condition USED item!!
This is a rare fretless model with a maple fingerboard.

MTD (Michael Tobias Design) is named after the master Michael Tobias, who laid the foundation for modern high-end basses and contributed greatly to the development of multi-string bass design and construction. In stark contrast to the multi-layer laminate/neck-through construction that defined an era, MTD has pioneered a new path with a simple bolt-on style. Designed for optimal tone and playability, MTD instruments are carefully assembled with expert craftsmanship, based on a thorough understanding of the unique characteristics of each wood, resulting in a musically rich tone unique to handmade instruments, and an appealing instrument that becomes more beautiful with each play.

According to the inscription on the back of the rod cover, the body top appears to be an Arbutus (= Madrone) Burl.
It's a fretless guitar with an alder body and a birdseye maple fingerboard, which may seem like an orthodox design, but it's actually quite unique. It pairs well with the black nylon string setup, and produces a wonderful, warm, and rich fretless sound.

This instrument was completed at the end of 2008, and since the "World logo" used on show models adorns the headstock, it is likely a model exhibited at the following year's Winter NAMM. Originally, it was built with a rather ambitious specification of being fretless with no lines, but the lines were added later. The finish is beautiful and there is no sense of incongruity.

It appears to have been played very little, and although there are some signs of wear and small scratches on the fingerboard, there are almost no other scratches to be found. It is in amazingly clean condition, hard to believe that it was made 17 years ago, and the texture is as smooth as new.

The neck is in good condition, the truss rod has plenty of room, and there are no issues with functionality such as buzzing or scratching.

This is your chance to own a superb fretless guitar by master Michael Tobias!
