A special edition model that recreates Randy Rhoads's favorite instrument

A special edition dedicated to Randy Rhoads, the genius guitarist who left his mark in the history of rock guitar with his angelic good looks and revolutionary technique.

Randy Rhoads was a young, talented guitarist whose beautiful phrasing, rooted in classical music, combined with a heavy sound to impress even the king of metal, Ozzy Osbourne. Even after passing away at the young age of 25, leaving behind only two albums, the guitar riffs he played remain deeply etched in the history of metal.

The pedal that was essential to Randy's guitar sound was none other than the MXR Distortion+, a pedal that he loved throughout his life.

The pedal board, which was revealed to the public by Randy's family for the first time in 42 years, included the Distortion+ pedal that he used during his active career, which was fortunately passed on to our MXR development team.
MXR meticulously examined this historic pedal, unlocking the secrets of Randy's original sound, and with the generous assistance of Randy's sister, Kathy Rose, we've successfully resurrected this pedal that has made rock and roll history.

Inspired by the supersonic airliners he saw while touring with Ozzy Osbourne, Randy designed a Flying V-style guitar with a white finish and pinstripe accents.
The MXR RANDY RHOADS SPECIAL EDITION DISTORTION+ is a special edition pedal reminiscent of this iconic guitar.

Items with “USED” in the product name are pre-owned and will be delivered as shown in the photos. Signs of wear may be present. All items are function-tested by our staff and rechecked before dispatch.

Many products are stocked across Ikebe stores in Japan. As a result, shipment may take several days. In-store sales may also cause items to sell out. If an item is unavailable, we will contact you promptly; in that case, the order will be canceled and any payment will be refunded.

■ Shipping

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
